St. Petersburg is our primary softgel development and manufacturing facility in North America with capacity of 18 billion capsules per year. The Project Engineer is Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously in the technical support departments. This include projects impacting technical services for new or enhanced products, engineering, cost containment and efficiency, and compliance initiatives. Additionally, the Project Engineer is responsible to communicate cross-functionally, and with customers, vendors, suppliers, contractors, other sites and upper management on project related activities.

The Role

  • Engineering, including projects relating to new or upgraded equipment, processes, facilities, cost containment and efficiency.

  • Analyzing and remediating equipment issues

  • Oversee and manage capital appropriated for a project to ensure funding for the projects goals are obtained, spent and closed in accordance with the project plan

  • Sets goals and objectives with project team, and monitors progress against those objectives

  • Manages multiple projects to successful completion.

The Candidate

  • Bachelors in Engineering or physical sciences, including, but not limited to, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Pharmacy.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Working knowledge of project management principles and concepts in a cGMP environment.

  • PC skills, including training on Microsoft Project and other Catalent software packages are required.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively before groups of internal customers.

  • Ability to multitask several assignments simultaneously while under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work autonomously and possess a positive attitude.
