Project Engineer

  • Calibration for an independent company in Plymouth, MI engaged in the development of powertrain systems with internal combustion engines & transmissions as well as instrumentation and test systems. Position duties are defining & performing engine & vehicle systems performance calibration, development & validation in test cell environment in climatic & altitude conditions including planning engineering resources according to project requirements; executing environmental test procedures, & emissions aftertreatment systems calibration; planning & executing technical studies, engine testing procedures, data analysis & validation; and designing & developing tests using automation tools.

    Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field and 3 years' experience in the job duties as stated or alternatively a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field and 3 years' experience as an Engineer engaged in engine performance, testing & validation in test cell environment in hot & cold conditions including executing engine testing procedures using automation control tools and completing data analysis & validation. The position is located in Plymouth, MI with 25% travel to clients throughout the U.S. Position may require the individual to work at various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
