The Direct Attack (DA) International Project Engineer will serve as program/project manager and the Boeing customer interface for international contracts for assigned DA international programs. The DA International Project Engineer will report to the Weapons International Execution Manager responsible for all Weapons International contracts.
Management of assigned JDAM and SDB international programs, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and/or Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts.
Day to day program execution including all aspects required for successfully executing the above programs.
Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the USAF customer program office at Eglin AFB, various international customers and Boeing international in-country representatives.
Work with internal departments on contract performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Manage deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, opportunities, and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned.
Establish priorities based on customer needs, and provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of the project plans.
Contact customers as required keeping them informed of significant events, respond to customer verbalization / written actions including leading proposal development efforts and developing statement of work (SOW) to satisfy ongoing and new business requirements.
Inform the customer of program concerns, keep internal departments apprised of customer expectations, and keep the external customers apprised of program status.
Ensure that the customer has a fully supported weapon system by reviewing pre-contract requirements, supporting negotiations, ensuring the contract final form meets the needs of the USAF customer at Eglin (EBDI)/ international customers and Boeing.
Prepare and host Program Management Reviews with EBDI and international customers, including preparation of agendas and presentation materials, presenting materials, and ensuring the total program status has been communicated.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Applicants MUST include their Security Clearance Level, Investigation Type and Investigation Date clearly on their resume.
International travel is required (typically 4 - 6 International trips per year).
Must have a strong technical background and be capable of understanding / managing the execution and implementation of complex weapons systems such as the JDAM and SDB.
Ability to deal directly with the international community, to travel internationally with possibility for travel to all regions of the world is required.
Use of good verbal / written communication skills is required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Since most of these programs involve integration of Direct Attack weapons on various platforms, a strong integration background and understanding is preferred.
Understanding of Systems Engineering including understanding of requirements management, integrated planning, risk management, configuration management and contractual data management is preferred.
Experience in the use of the Program Management Best Practices and knowledge of EVM is highly desired.
Knowledge of export regulations and experience in drafting and submitting licenses and TAAs is preferable.
Level 4: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
