Train F-15 Pilots and Weapon System Operators to FIGHT and WIN!

F-15 USAF Trainers, a team in Boeing Global Services' Training and Professional Services' Training Systems organization, is currently seeking project engineers for the F-15 Mission Training Center (MTC), F-15 Squadron Based Trainer (SBT) and Maintenance Training Device (MTD) platforms. Working with product management and leadership, subject matter experts, engineering teams, and test engineers throughout the entire development, fielding and operation lifecycle, the candidates will manage updates to training system capabilities to fulfill customer needs and requirements.

The successful candidate will communicate programmatic requirements from the Product Line Lead (PLL) to the impacted Product Leads (PL) and communicate technical status data from the PLs to the PLL with guidance and oversight from the Chief Engineer. The PE provides integrated technical and schedule coordination between the PLs and documentation in accordance with contractual requirements for internal reference and external delivery.

Due to the technical complexity of these trainer systems, a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is required.

Experience in related engineering fields, such as systems or software engineering, is required.

Experience with trainers and training systems is desired, but not required. Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems is a plus, but also not required.

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams.

The possession of, or ability to gain, a U.S. DoD Secret clearance is mandatory, with preference given to those who have completed a background investigation within the last five years.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or related field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams.

  • The ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Experience, Skills and

  • Experience with trainers and training systems is desired

  • U.S. DoD Secret clearance background investigation completed within the last five years

Typical Education / Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
