JOB SUMMARY The Project Engineer is responsible for facilitating construction related activities under the general supervisor of the Construction Project Manager. Project Engineer coordinates various construction related activities with both internal team # external project partners. #This position facilitates design, pre-construction, and construction phases of various capital construction projects. Project Engineer participates in various phases of construction process including submittals, substitutions, schedule, scope changes, punchlist, closeout, and construction inspection. Project Engineer interfaces routinely with healthcare end-users, consultants, contractors, vendors, inspecting agencies to successful project completion. Strong skills in all building trades including interiors, finishes, furniture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low voltage system is encouraged. Knowledge of estimating, job cost tracking, scheduling, construction, quality control, construction documents, closeout, written documentation and space planning. Ability to manage construction planning/design processes including space planning, design development, design reviews, and product selections. Knowledge of industry best practices for healthcare construction applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills.# # JOB QUALIFICATIONS # Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: A four-year Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related fields. Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project leadership role

Experience with Building Information Modeling is encouraged. # License/Certifications/Special

Requirements:
Certified Health Constructor or Certified Health Facility Manager is encouraged.

Job Duties: * Work with oil free and lubricated rotary screw and centrifugal compressor product lines to improve design, performance, and/or the manufacturing process. * Work with fluid pumps, both design and application, on compressor products for the cooling and lubrication circuits. * Design and/or re-design new and existing product lines. * Produce cost effective designs, complex layout assemblies, detail parts drawings, and generate associated bills of materials. * Evaluate existing products for re-design based on feedback from manufacturing, quality, or assembly and assess functionality to determine product effectiveness for customers. * Collect product data via reports, manufacturing, assembly, and testing. * Work with team to standardize global compressor offering through product rationalization and new product development. * Work closely with Customer Service, Field Service, and Manufacturing personnel to resolve issues regarding legacy and new products. * May be involved in patent applications for new or existing products. Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * 10-15 years of prior pump design experience strongly preferred (centrifugal, gear, vane, etc.). * Prior experience in designing small closed loop cooling systems preferred. * Must have good mechanical aptitude. * Solid Modeling CAD skills are essential and AutoDesk Inventor preferred but not required. * Computer aided engineering experience with FEA and CFD software is required. Ansys and/or Converge software experience is preferred but not required. * Superior analytical skills required with excellent communication and organizational skills. * Must be capable to work in a fast paced, creative, results-oriented atmosphere.
