Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

Seeking a Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager with 2-5 years of construction experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Ludlow, MA. This position offers full benefits, including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, and a profit-sharing plan.

Additionally, gas cards are provided for site visits. Salary is between $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience. In this role, you will assist in the management of construction projects, ensuring successful execution by supporting project managers and coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors.

Responsibilities: Assist in managing overall project performance, quality, and client relationships. Review submittals and RFI processing. Manage change orders and project scheduling.

Review shop drawings, submittals, and coordination. Maintain project logs and documentation. Schedule and procure equipment and subcontractors.

Build and maintain customer relationships. Assist with QAQC and safety protocols on projects. Manage project close-out procedures.

Document control and tracking, ensuring vendor compliance. Coordinate with vendors for project changes. Support foremen and coordinate subcontractors during site visits.

Qualifications: BS Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in mechanical contracting. Effective communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficient with MS Office products; familiarity with Procor and Microsoft Project is beneficial. Ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently.
