Candidates must have a Professional Engineer (PE) license with tangible design experience in their degreed field, including having served as Engineer of Record in development of contract documents, plans, and/or specifications. Ideal candidates will have an interest within transitioning from design-to-forensics or have previous experience serving the forensic engineering market with property loss and/or similar evaluations.
The project engineer serves a supporting role to designated lead experts in performing field work, performing calculations, design and document review, observing destructive testing, and/or evaluating construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Candidates must demonstrate creative thinking in order to resolve complex civil engineering design problems. Additionally, candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have a collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
Project engineer candidates with skillset and desire to be promoted to a designated lead expert role in the future are preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
PE license required.
Previous forensic engineering experience preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of engineering analysis and building code requirements.
Collaborative and team-oriented attitude required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willing to travel within the State, with potential for regional travel.
