Project Engineer

Actively hiring a Project Engineer for a project located in Waverly, IA. Oversee the capital investments relating to the company's fixed assets with a cross-functional team of salaried and hourly stakeholders. This could involve the relocation and optimizing of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. It may extend from the initial conceptual studies through to project closeout.

Responsible:

• Development of Projects- outlining project objectives, scope, constraints, and stakeholders

• Development of design & engineering - Leveraging factory and/or company project standards for the development (or oversight of 3rd party) of designs, engineering, and drawings to ensure projects meet specific requirements, codes and standards

• Support procurement and vendor management - support bidding, prequalification vetting, evaluation, selection and contract issuance for installation, construction, and plant handover

• Maintenance of existing Cost Control/Project Budget - maintaining existing cost control bottom-up estimate to account for commitments, actuals and forecasts for budget assurance and control.

• Invoice vs. contractual terms reviews, development of NIMT reporting along with earned (installed) vs. burned (project budget) analysis

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering Field (Mechanical/Process/Chemical/Electrical Engineering)

• 1-3 years of significant food & dairy, cosmetic, pharmaceutical or consumer products industry experience and achievement in a technical field with a project engineering.

• Project work on site and must be available for occasional travel to other locations for factory acceptance testing (FAT) and/or equipment election (up to 5%).

• Strong experience in facilitating change in a manufacturing environment is critical.
