A large plastics manufacturer of medical devices is looking for a project engineer to support their growing business. 90% of their products/business is already in production, so a large majority of the role will be supporting the sustaining of products they've worked on. This individual will be responsible for creating design controls, come up with criteria that may not be clear in order to meet FDA standards. This individual will need to be able to own a project from design through manufacturing which will require an understanding of manufacturing processes required to create product. Processes they support in manufacturing: solvent bonding, automation, welding, etc.
Main focus will be on manufacturing transfers and product line consolidations.
Work alongside Project Managers to determine where engineer needs to support
Review and edit design control plans based on understanding of risks within manufacturing process
Coordinate with cross functional team across engineering and manufacturing to ensure all projects are executed timely and effectively
