Project Electrical Hardware Engineer

As an electrical engineer at our world headquarters in Pennsylvania, you will take ownership of high-stakes projects from day one. You will be a key part of our hardware development team and grow your skills while developing innovative solutions. You will be responsible for many phases of the product development process, including:

  • Circuit design, analysis, and testing

  • Building prototypes, theoretical models, and simulations

  • Participating in PCB design process and product design reviews

  • Taking part in domestic and international safety and standards qualification

  • Designing for manufacturing testing and assembly

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of consumer products that will end up directly in the hands of our end users. There are a variety of technologies throughout the product lifecycle that you could be involved with from day one, including:

  • Power electronics

  • Analog circuit design

  • Electric motors

  • Embedded development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering

  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • 0-3 years' experience in a related field

As an Industrial Engineer at Lutron you will: * Develop experience in new product design manufacturing areas such as: * Assembly process flow development to meet efficiency and quality goals * Assembly line workstation layout and design * Documentation and assembly instructions (standard work, visual aids, etc) * Conduct time studies and set labor time goals * Drive ergonomic studies to improve line worker-tooling interactions * Oversee production builds starting with Alpha builds and assist in resolving issues * Analyze build data and determine process capabilities * Support product transfer to a long-term build facility * Assist with continuous improvement projects in the mfg plants * Gain a diversity of experiences by collaborating with a wide array of teams like design engineering, quality, manufacturing plants located worldwide, customer service, and operations to gain exposure to the strategic impact of your projects * Work in a collaborative and challenging environment with opportunities to: * Build expertise through on-the-job coaching and supervision * Innovate with high quality products that are used by real people * Get significant ownership and engage in coordinating many phases of new product development Does this sound interesting to you?
