Project Director Victim/Justice Services

Fairfax, VA Headquarters

Job Description

ICF seeks a Project Director for Victim/Justice services-related project(s). You will oversee project staff, serve as the primary liaison with client(s), and collaborate with national and international partners.

This is a full-time position and will require approximately 10% travel annually

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead project start-up operations, working with client and partners to effectively commence project operations, as well as establish and maintain mission and vision for the project.

  • Oversee all project operations and ensure project quality including staff performance, reports, and deliverables.

  • Supervise and coach team members.

  • Monitor staff utilization, conduct annual performance reviews.

  • Oversee all project reporting on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

  • Facilitate regular team meetings and provide facilitation for project meetings as necessary.

  • Work with project staff to determine and monitor project costs as well as monitor contract financial performance.

  • Develop and deliver quarterly Quality Assurance (QAR) reports to ICF leadership.

  • Participate in periodic ICF cross-project manager meetings.

  • Oversee project evaluation and development of annual report that documents staff activities, staff experience and qualifications, and lessons learned as well as areas of focus for future efforts.

  • Ensure all tasks/projects are managed to client satisfaction.

  • Establish and sustain client relationships at multiple levels.

  • Support corporate utilization targets and achievement of other financial metrics.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Training and technical assistance experience;

  • Experience with capacity-building, community partnerships; strategic planning and policy development;

  • Experience with the development and leadership of new programs, including leadership of start-up operations;

  • Subject matter expertise in human trafficking, crime victimization and trauma- and survivor-informed approaches.

  • 5+ years staff management experience.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience working in human services with vulnerable populations.

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills;

  • Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;

  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information;

  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors;

  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions;

  • Ability to facilitate high level meetings and focus groups to explore issues and topics with divergent stakeholders, conduct strategic planning, or find solutions;

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel);

  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities;

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Victim Services-Training & Technical Assistance Specialist Education, Community and Social Programs Justice and Community Development Fairfax, VA Job Description ICF seeks a professional with experience working on victim service assistance issues in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. You must demonstrate a knowledge of national trends and initiatives, cultural sensitivity, effective program and project implementation, and current research on evidence-based practices and programs. This opportunity will allow you to support the Department of Justice's, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in their continued commitment to provide relevant resource and tools to the AI/AN communities. Specifically, you will perform a range of analytical, writing, problem-solving and related work in support of training and technical assistance (TTA) activities. TTA support includes responding to field requests for technical assistance, working with the team to develop resources and training materials, and evaluating curricula and training. 10-20% travel may be required annually. Key Responsibilities: * Responding to training and technical assistance requests to better respond to the needs of AI/AN communities * Performing analysis and evaluation of financial and grant management tools and resources used by AI/AN grantees * Supporting the Project Director and other team members in conducting needs assessments and evaluations of curricula and financial management training materials. * Working with the project team to develop plain language tools that grantees can use in implementing financial responsibilities to comply with the Federal statutes and regulations, such as, but not limited to the Department of Justice Financial Guide, and the OMB's Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements * Providing logistical and content support for trainings, conferences, trainings, focus groups and other meetings as needed * Supporting development and delivery of webinars as needed * Supporting data analysis and report writing * Performing other related duties as assigned You may be required to collaboration with a variety of client and project points of contact. You will plan and carry out concurrent activities that will ensure a timely and orderly provision of TTA, and must display decisiveness, diplomacy and sound judgment in resolving difficult problems in work assignments, which are often of a complex and sensitive nature. You must be able to multi-task, and display sensitivity to the confidential nature of federal client work and of the communications between ICF and clients. Project Specialists are considered key project personnel and must be approved by OVC.
