Position Summary

Under the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences, the employee is the point of contact for the daily grant administration, local coordination with community partners, and curriculum development for the proposed dual enrollment healthcare career pathways.

(Continuation of position contingent upon grant renewal).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator and high school counselors to coordinate student orientation and parent information sessions for new and returning students.

  • Correspond with dual enrollment applicants, parents, high school counselors, college faculty and staff, and personnel from other colleges concerning dual enrollment policy, admission applications and procedures.

  • Work closely with the Dean of Health Sciences to ensure that grant funds are expended in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners involved in the Health Sciences program pathways in Lowndes County.

  • Serve as Health Sciences dual enrollment representative at campus events as needed.

  • Comply with policies and procedures established by Trenholm State Community College and the Alabama Community College System.

  • Serves as the primary representative to handle all the daily facilitation of program/course assignments.

  • Establish program goals and objectives; develop program guidelines, develop schedules, and coordinate items needed for program delivery.

  • Coordinate efforts to identify needs and works with adjunct instructors to plan schedules for development and delivery of training.

  • Schedule and coordinate marketing efforts for all assigned programs.

  • Effectively market and conduct outreach to promote healthcare programs.

  • Conduct participant follow-up to ascertain that participants successfully complete their desired training and/or obtain recognized training-specific certifications or national credentials as specified in the approved grant proposal.

  • Ensure positive outcomes of the project that lead to participants' attainment of nationally recognized credentials, employment, and/or continued enrollment in postsecondary education.

  • Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications

1.Possess an associate degree from an accredited institution is required.

2.Two years of full-time work experience with coordination and project management and

experience in or with business and industry is required.

3.Possess a current and valid driver's license with the ability to drive and travel if required
