Grant Project Director - Social Services 

A Project Director for a SAMHSA grant program is needed in Lynchburg, VA

Our client is a longstanding behavioral health organization that has been serving Central Virginia for over 50 years. They provide multi-systemic therapy models, outpatient services, crisis intervention and community-based services throughout Lynchburg and the surrounding areas to clients of all ages. 

We are looking for a Program Director for one of their Grant Programs that serves youth and adolescents struggling with behavioral health and substance use disorders, providing comprehensive treatment, early intervention, and recovery support services. This is a 5 year SAMHSA grant funded position.

Responsibilities:

  • M – F (8:00 to 5:00)
  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Serve as point of contact for the grant.
  • Ensure all requirements of the grant are met and that reports are submitted in timely manner.
  • Work directly with the grant evaluator and evaluation project assistants.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in mental health / social work field (Ex: social work, clinical mental health counseling, psychology, etc) – May also consider healthcare admin, business admin or related degree if combined with work in behavioral health/social services.
  • Minimum 1 year experience of federal or state grant experience, SAMHSA experience preferred.
  • 1 year of clinical experience working with population served.
  • 3 years of related experience demonstrating abilities associated with this role.
  • Masters degree preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Understanding of GPRA data collection protocols.
  • Collect and analyze report data, identify and measure outcomes, develop reports.
