Project Development Manager

Reporting to: Business Development Director

Based in: Washington DC, USA

The selected professional will be a key team member driving project development and portfolio support for X-ELIO's utility-scale solar and BESS initiatives, ensuring assets are construction-ready through comprehensive oversight of approvals, administration, sourcing, due diligence, and execution.

What will you do?

• Oversee project entitlements, interconnections, and permitting within set schedules and budgets for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
• Assess technical and economic viability of projects at various development stages for solar and battery storage systems.
• Identify and communicate development risks to leadership, offering mitigation strategies for pipeline and project success.
• Guide and mentor junior project developers, helping them navigate project challenges effectively.
• Coordinate with Construction and Procurement Teams to meet budget and timeline goals, ensuring all interconnection and permitting needs are fulfilled.

What do we need?

• At least years of experience in utility scale development, ideally in Power, Renewable Energies, or PV companies.
• Bachelor's degree with strong project feasibility evaluation skills.
• Clear communication of risks and mitigation strategies to leadership.
• Experience mentoring junior developers through project challenges.
• Proven coordination to meet budgets, timelines, and permitting needs.
