This position seeks out, investigates and assesses profitable business growth opportunities for the Utility Operations. Directs and coordinates with the General Managers to seek out new leads and follow up on leads brought in by other departments or outside consultants. Influences and works directly and indirectly with other SUEZ employees in qualifying leads and opportunities and pursuing new sales and developer related expansion activities.
Create a pipeline of business opportunities by evaluating and identifying business leads and tuck in targets within the New Jersey, New York, Delaware & Pennsylvania Regions. and presenting these opportunities to the General Managers as well the Utility Leadership to obtain approvals.
Create these opportunities by visiting clients, identifying their needs and developing SUEZ's value proposition.
Coordinates or supports the gathering, analysis and interpretation of client specific data for evaluation of present and future opportunities within Company guidelines and long-term Utility Operations objectives.
Identifies, evaluates and pursues opportunities/ new leads in Utility growth through research, nurturing relationships, using personal contacts and industry association membership and activity to capture new business opportunities
Follows up on leads brought in by other employees, departments or outside consultants.
Interacts with regulatory agencies and staff on relevant policies and regionalization efforts.
Understands SUEZ range of services and competitive strength and is able to articulate the benefits to the stakeholders of target clients.
Prepares materials used in presentations made to potential clients and to Company Consideration and Investment committees.
Extensive regional travel is required to support and identify potential tuck in acquisitions, build key stakeholder relationships, and support efforts.
May serve as a company representative and spokesperson at various regulatory functions and at trade shows, conferences and other forums.

5-7 plus years business development and marketing experience.
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater industry issues including regulatory, financing, and inter-local government management agreements.
Understanding of the workings of municipal governments.
Experienced at political networking.
Knowledge of business and municipal finance.
