Major Responsibilities

  • Under general direction of the Chief Marketing and Development Officer, with considerable latitude for independent initiative and judgment, perform difficult and responsible administrative work for the Marketing & Development Division.

  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns for citywide events, programs and initiatives.

  • Cultivate and manage sponsor relationships for various divisions, events, and programs including the creation of pitch decks, execution of contracts, management of budgets and reporting.

  • Manage the Parks merchandise line, including ideation, point of sale, inventory and potential expansion.

  • Assist with purchase orders and receiving reports.

  • Work with the Chief Marketing and Development Officer and Creative Director to manage design projects and ensure consistency of the Parks brand across all promotional materials.

  • Assist in producing reports and managing division workflow tools.

Minimum Qualifications

1.A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or

2.High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or

3.Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

Preferred Skills

1.Bachelor's Degree. 2. Two or more years of experience working on corporate partnerships with a proven track record of success. 3. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines. 4. Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills. 5. Ability to work independently and initiate projects. 6. Two or more years of experience in fundraising with a proven track record of success. 7. Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. 8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 9. Valid New York State driver license.

Residency Requirement

Residency in New York City, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, Putnam or Westchester counties required for employees with over two years of city service. New York City residency required within 90 days of hire for all other candidates.
