Position Summary

As an Project Designer/Job Captain at DLR Group you will be responsible for applying your architectural design skills and leading project teams in the realization of award-winning design projects. As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

The successful candidate will:

  • Create effective graphic communications for clients and colleagues to effectively convey complex conceptual design ideas.

  • Design, develop and document various project types.

  • Additionally, you'll support design projects with exceptional design thinking, project imagery, design research, and project documentation.

  • Have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.

  • Possess a high level of proficiency in the production of graphic communication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Architectural design experience. Please include a resume or portfolio of design projects when applying.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Design.

  • Intermediate and demonstrated ability in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Proficient in the use of computer modeling and rendering software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • On track to Professional License

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SketchUp and V-Ray.

  • Proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD.

Your Challenge EXP is currently searching for an Electrical Designer/Engineer 1 to work in our Denver, Colorado office. Your Responsibilities * Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and concepts to execute all required aspects of electrical engineering * Effective time management in order to meet multiple projects and deliverables * Must possess strong leadership and communication skills * Coordinate with other disciplines on all projects * Perform projects within established project budgets and schedules * Drafting proficient in creating and/or converting more senior engineers' markups into working AutoCAD drawings * Plot drawings for review by more senior engineers * Prepare AutoCAD floor plans showing electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, equipment, etc. * Perform calculations using tools such as SKM or Powertools for available fault current and implement proper AIC ratings of equipment with input from more senior engineers * Prepare one-line diagrams with input from more senior engineers * Prepare electrical loads and develop panel schedules with input from more senior engineers * Layout fire alarm devices on floor plans with input from more senior engineers * Layout lighting fixtures on plans and demonstrate fundamental knowledge of lighting concepts * Understand and correctly apply concepts of emergency and normal power systems * Coordinate device locations, loads, and circuitry with other disciplines * Develop knowledge of the NEC and other codes * Perform lighting calculations and develop models using a lighting photometric program such as Visual or AGI32 * Layout equipment rooms with input from more senior engineers Job Requirements The Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities We Seek: * BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university is mandatory. Architectural Engineering degree may also be considered * 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical design in telecommunications facilities, data centers and hospitals.
