We are now looking for

Project Design Engineer (m/f/d)

to join our team in Hamburg. The position is a permanent role.

What will you be doing

As Project Design Engineer you will focus on these responsibilities:

General work overview:

  • Construction, design and projecting of complex Navigation-, Communication- and Bridgesystems

  • Create of electrical CAD drawings

  • Verification of technical specifications for projects and sales offers

Detailed work overview:

  • Create project specific technical documentation for class and customer approvals, production, commissioning and handing over

  • Technical consultation for customers during the project phase (yard, owner)

  • Guidance in case of hardware installations (consoles, sensors, antennas)

  • Adaption of scope of supply according to the project in accordance with costs

  • Creation and maintenance of technical material master data

  • Interface discussions with other departments, makers and customers

  • Supporting customers with approval applications to authorities and classification societies

  • Deadline and cost tracking, as well as ensuring compliance with the budget for work packages taken over

Additional duties:

  • Participation at customer meetings and with other external partners

  • Participation at factory acceptance tests with customers and class surveyors

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

  • Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor or Master in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Min. 3-5 years in electrical engineering

  • Willingness to work in teams

  • Fluent in English and German (minimum B2 level)

  • Experienced handling with ePlan

  • Advanced knowledge in navigation and bridge systems with its products

  • Based knowledge with SAP

  • Willingness to travel about 5%
