Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Project Cost Controller in Bogotá, Colombia to be part of
our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future.
As our Project Cost Controller you will be responsible for assist the project team to
determine and maintain project costs and to maintain a strict adherence to corporate budget
and find ways to increase company profits
Main responsibilities
Review the project forecast approved in the Management sign off (Project forecast
handed-over by the Development and EPC team) and bring this into a fully developed
detailed budget.
Control all received invoices and process them for approval. Follow contractual milestone
payment plan and check documents / activities required for payment.
Check accuracy of project actual internal costs - salaries, travel expenses and booking
of time in line with the budget.
Perform delta analysis of actual projects costs vs budget on an ongoing basis bringing to
the Project Managers attention any deviations and or variations to the budget.
Generate all required project status reports for the Project Manager and internal
management.
Collaborate with Project Manager (PM), procurement and engineering to develop and
maintain the project cost forecast on an ongoing basis.
Maintains project cash flows monitoring both the forecasted cash flows and actual cash
flows of the project - cash inflows and cash outflows.
Manage the risks and opportunities portfolio for the project together with the Project
Manager (PM) and maintain the risk register.
Evaluate financial impact on the project margin of changes and variations in Scope of
Work.
Responsible for Project Monthly close-out performing financial analysis and reporting on
all key figures of the projects in scope (revenue, cost of sale and gross margin).
Qualifications and competencies
Diploma / Degree in Finance or Cost Accounting
Solid excel experience.
Language: English and Spanish advanced written and spoken, Portuguese will be a an differentiation.
