Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative, grant-funded Project Coordinator - Workforce Development position.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of the Southwestern Illinois College, the Special Project Coordinator is responsible for oversight of grant-funded pre-apprenticeship programs to include student intake and performance, grant reporting and compliance, and fiscal and operational oversight. The Project Coordinator works with the Adult Basic Education Director, Director of Workforce Development and Career Pathways, the Tech Ed division and local industry to recruit and prepare underrepresented populations for entry level positions in demand occupations. This position monitors student activities and performance outcomes, helps trainees in overcoming barriers to completion and assists with student transitions into work and/or further education. The Coordinator maintains student records and assists with the preparation of required reports. In addition, the coordinator will spearhead the development of educational pathways in surrounding communities to provide high school students and adult learners opportunities to transition to Southwestern Illinois College and into living wage jobs in a variety of in-demand industries throughout our region. This is a full-time, twelve-month position contingent upon continued receipt of sufficient grant funding.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required.
Two years of experience teaching and/or training is required.
Two years of experience in either education/training administration or in construction management is required.
Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Grade 2 on the Administrative salary scale, ranging from $44,675 to $51,310 per year.
