Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Project Coordinator working in Longmont, CO to support various large construction projects.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports managers and project teams in organizing, performing, tracking and reporting project activities

  • Scheduling; understands, reviews, tracks progress, and communicates progress to managers and team members

  • Procurement; initiates subcontracts and suppliers, orders, reviews payment certificates/invoices & works with procurement, management & team members

  • Budgeting; understands and supports budgets, and forecasts

  • Tracking; tracking all manner of project statistics and information. Organize, save, and report information to managers and team members

  • Technical; works with project surveyors; reviews and understands project drawings and specifications; drafts and understand technical project documents and contract correspondence

  • Coordination; communicates, organizes, and coordinates between all internal and external stakeholders

  • Invoicing; understands contract payment structure, draft invoices for review by management

  • Planning/Executing; organizes, schedules, coordinates, initiates upcoming project work

  • Quality Management; understands, participates in quality management system

  • Meetings; plans and organizes project meetings and events

  • Administrative; organization and administrative duties as required

  • Represents Wood to clients, subcontracts, suppliers, and other internal groups

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a coordination/administration/management position, in either construction management or mining related field.

  • High organizational skills

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Advance proficiency with MS-Project preferred

  • Knowledge of CAD or other technical software is an advantage

As a Project Engineer for the NGG program: * Support the NextGen GEO Ground team in ensuring an up-to-date engineering training program that can be utilized as a resource for existing and new employees. * Coordinate, schedule and record training sessions (examples NGG 101, NGG 201, Product Area Deep Dives, emerging technology presentations, Agile info sessions, etc.) * Set-up an organized training repository for employees to easily navigate and be able to get up to speed quickly on new topics. * Coordinate/Collect/Report/Respond to employee feedback regarding training program * Be the welcoming face of the NGG organization for onboarding new employees * Send welcome emails and information to new employees with first day meet-up and onboarding information * Create welcome packets for employees first day * Coordinate with employee's manager to ensure new employees are set-up for seamlessly integration with their product team for the employees first 1-2 weeks on the program. * Create, coordinate, and host new employee on-boarding event (weekly/bi-weekly typically on Mondays) * Monitor training program metrics * Meet with NGG managers weekly to prepare/coordinate for employee onboarding * Support Ad hoc tasking by NGG leadership team Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.
