UFG is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team with the ability to work with a variety of tools and technologies while performing project related duties.


  • Coordinate and align project plans across work streams

  • Provide analysis on program and project task challenges as called upon

  • Manage and maintain program Milestone tracking tool and issues/risks log

  • Ensure that major project activities, milestones and deliverables are tracked and progress is accurately reported

  • Support adherence to project process and systems

  • Assist in the analysis and estimation effort to develop accurate estimates

  • Ensure the required staff and resources are in place

  • Identify and escalate significant project risks and ensure their resolution

  • Assist in onboarding and managing resources to enable their contributions to the programs and projects

  • Assemble status reports and collect project metrics

  • Create weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc communications for relevant audiences


  • Four-year college degree preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant project management experience.

  • Certified or working towards a PMI certification: PMP or CAPM.

  • Experience as a liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams. Strong relationship management skills

  • Experience with one or more SDLC methodologies

  • Experience defining, collecting, and analyzing project delivery metrics

  • Basic knowledge of project management methodology.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many disciplines and with varying degrees of business and technical experience.

  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to learn the technical background sufficient to understand the issues involved with our automation projects.

  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.

  • Ability to lead, motivate and resolve conflicts among cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel

  • Insurance coursework or designations in the following areas preferred: General Insurance, Associate in Personal Insurance, Associate in Commercial Underwriting, Associate in Automation Information Technology or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
