A Project Coordinator / Senior Administrative Assistant job is currently available with one of Belcan's premier chemical industry customers in Houston, Texas. In this role you will serve in an essential administrative role in the company's Project Management Division. In order to be considered for this role, you will have direct experience supporting Project Managers in an engineering, construction or operating plant environment. This is an open-ended long-term Contract Assignment offering strong compensation package, a team-oriented atmosphere and a great work environment.

Project Coordinator / Senior Administrative Assistant

Job Duties

  • Assembles an analyzes information, prepares schedules, writes reports, agendas, correspondence and memorandums in support of executive level project manager for chemical plant upgrade and expansion projects

  • Manages the purchasing requisition process and follow-up on invoices and accounts payable activities

  • Establishes and maintains departmental information and develops spreadsheets as needed for department

  • Assists in meeting planning and preparation work, i.e. drafting agendas and coordinating broader communications

  • Reviews and obtains critical documentation information from blue prints in support of subject matter expert engineers in order to maintain document controls, work orders and other records relating project documentation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience. Business or secretarial school degree preferred.

  • Exceptional project management organization skills

  • Expertise and Advanced Skills in Full Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Documentum, and ProjectWise) SAP, and Concur.

  • Experience working in an engineering, construction or operating industrial plant environment directly with project management and engineering teams

  • Experience in Project Document Controls and Blue Print Reading Highly Desirable

We are looking for an experienced Materials Coordinator who will help manage vendor contracts and commercial agreements as well as control the flow of all inventory and third-party services required for product delivery RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes detailed work assignments and understands the components related to functional projects and tasks. Works with others to resolve problems. MAIN TASKS: * Performs clerical and administrative duties including typing, proofreading and editing documents. Composes and may initiate routine correspondence and memoranda. * Screens telephone calls and visitors.
