Department Summary

The mission of the Department of Pediatrics and Women's Health is to continuously improve the quality and value of our education, pediatric health care, research, and community service programs. We are dedicated to educating doctors and physician assistants and providing the North Texas Community with quality pediatric medical care and community health services.

Position Overview

The Department of Pediatrics and Women's Health is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team to support implementing and monitoring the Positive First Day of Kindergarten grant-funded project. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with our partners and stakeholders to serve families in the local community and provide low literacy, linguistically, and culturally appropriate support through a maternal and child health lens. An integral member of the project team, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and controlling project activities, assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the project to achieve goals and objectives, and is expected to interact with faculty, staff, community stakeholders, and other outside professionals in line with essential job functions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to use a variety of complex computer applications.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a project team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

  • Community Health Worker Certification.

  • CPR/Basic Life Support Certification.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:

  • Implement the Positive First Day Program and manage the project as a member of a team involving both local and national research initiatives.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with community partners to introduce and promote the program.

  • Maintain program and work with the data team ensuring completion and accuracy of all required information.

  • Schedule and attend meetings with stakeholders and community partners.

  • Coordinate and attend community meetings and events.

  • Assist in the development of written materials, research or project reports.

  • Ensure project is compliant in all aspects.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Monday

  • Friday. 8 am

  • 5 pm
