We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coord Interior Design.

In this role, the successful candidate Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F)

The mission of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F) Department is to plan, develop, operate and maintain the campus of NYU Langone Health and provide the foundation for its growth and success in the 21st century. RED+F provides strategic campus planning and project development services, including architectural studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to existing structures on the NYU Langone Health campus.

The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure and related support services across the medical center.

RED+F is composed of the Real Estate, Housing, Planning & Project Development, Facilities Operations & Management, Finance & Administration, Campus Security, Environmental Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and Clinical Engineering divisions.

Overall Role and Primary Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Reporting to NYU Langone Medical Centers Senior Interior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator, Interiors will work hand in hand with the Senior Project Manager Interiors to create and maintain the NYULHS design aesthetic across all areas of the campuses. They will act in a supervisory roll with Interior coordinators and Interior interns and be in charge of delegating projects and setting deadlines for project completion. Project types vary from Office Interiors Healthcare Interiors to Education and public spaces.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong aesthetic sensibility.

  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work on multiple projects.

  • Evaluate completed projects post-occupancy to assess success of materials and furniture specifications.

  • Evaluate products to ensure they perform in accordance with NYULMC standards.

  • Research and continue updating and developing the materials library.

  • Preform field surveys to ensure accuracy of drawings and site preparedness for installations

  • Review furniture dealership quotes for accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist with specifying furniture, tracking furniture, and oversight of furniture installations.

  • Assist the Interiors Senior PM on multiple projects.

  • Perform site surveys independently

  • Create and review lighting designs and light fixture schedules

Utilize Revit MEP and other lighting software

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a "Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design Preferably, healthcare design experience or healthcare concentration in school; Must be proficient in Auto Cad, Power Point, Photoshop, MS Office; Ability to perform space planning such as departmental re-configurations."

JOB PURPOSE The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for maintaining and providing our full line of products and services to their named accounts. This position will be required to have overall knowledge of all assigned accounts and will be responsible for the quality, efficiency, and cost control of these accounts. The PC will also assist the sales representative by building a relationship with key players within their accounts and all subsidiaries and becoming a trusted advisor on projects and solutions to meet their needs. The position requires significant time working closely with internal and external technical, management, production and sales staff. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Review assigned jobs and assess need for additional information, e.g. compilation of glossaries, previously translated similar documents, list of acronyms, technical terminology, and translation memories • Manage translation teams and linguistic assets to ensure compliance with DFS LS' production workflows and ensure that quality and turnaround standards are met • Select and assign translation teams, negotiate rates and deadlines and coordinate production with translators, proofreaders, in-country client reviewers, typesetters, Audiovisual and Technology partners and Customer Service Reps • Keep Salesperson/Customer Service Rep updated at all times • Keep project admin updated at all times and maintain accurate records of all costs • Check project costs for accuracy and match to purchase order • Exercise sound judgment in keeping Production Lead informed of potential difficulties • Inform Production Lead of all issues affecting cost, quality and turnaround • Check accuracy of translation prior to client delivery or typesetting QUALIFICATION * 3-4 years of experienced in the industry or as PM, a senior profile, in touch with clients as well as providers etc. * Arabic speaker is preferred; we are the team that manages Middle East clients within Regulated Industries * This is a general Project Coordinator position in touch with Financial, Legal and Business clients * We are the 24/7 operations team based in New York, Madrid, London and Hong Kong - the Project Coordinator works as part of the structure for 24/7 service SHIFT * 12:00 to 20:30 EDT (this is a late-shift position) * Saturday to Wednesday shift - during weekdays the project Coordinator works from our NY office with the team - on weekends, remote work from home is allowed.
