Project Coordinator I

The Project Coordinator I works under the direction of a project manager in the daily management of software development projects. He / She will perform simple project management activities, including project plan updates, project status material preparation and follow-up on issues, risks, and action items. This individual will coordinate project tasks including schedule meetings and follow-up on open items. This is an individual contributor role.

Job Description

Typical tasks and work products include:

  • Assists with the management of the detailed project plan and project budget in enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool while ensuring that all progress, time and effort reporting is based on current and accurate information

  • Helps to create, manage and upload project documentation in accordance with WFS project methodology and standards

  • Helps to monitor and perform analysis of risk, issues, and problems for trends requiring project manager corrective action

  • Assists project managers with financial administration activities including CERs, purchase orders, SOWs, and request for financial approvals

  • Coordinates and communicates within the project organization by assisting with the preparation of status reports, risks, issues, action item logs and other written communication

  • Collects statuses and progress information from team leads

  • Schedules team meetings and distributes project calendars, meeting agendas and meeting reports

  • Records and distributes minutes, decisions and actions from project meetings

  • Organizes the project repository on the SharePoint project website; managing user accesses, maintain control of documents in the library

  • Escalates issues and risks to project manager

  • Performs other related project management duties as assigned
