Job Description:

Radford University invites applicants for a Provisional Teacher Virtual Learning Academy Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in leading project development and implementation for Radford University's Provisional to Professional Pathway Virtual Learning Academy, catering to provisionally licensed teachers. This dynamic role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including close collaboration with faculty members within the School of Teacher Education and Leadership, learning coaches from the Vinod Chachra IMPACT Lab for course content development and delivery, teaching courses in human development, as well as engagement with various internal units such as the Vinod Chachra IMPACT Lab, University Relations, and leadership teams from the College of Education and Human Development.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the Project Coordinator will be instrumental in crafting and executing a comprehensive recruitment strategy, which will involve active outreach to school divisions across the state of Virginia. Occasional travel may be necessary to fulfill the requirements of this role.

The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Director of the School of Teacher Education and Leadership, who is a key figure within the College of Education and Human Development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in education or a related field

  • K-12 teaching experience

  • Experience in program and/or project coordinator or oversight

  • Experience with marketing and/or recruiting

  • Ability to managing multiple tasks and work independently

  • Ability to organize and lead scheduled professional development sessions for teachers

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and time management skills

  • Proficient with current office software such as Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with online learning management systems

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Education or related field

  • Knowledge of Virginia teacher licensure regulations

  • Familiarity with Virginia school divisions and organizational structures

  • Experience in planning and implementing online instruction

  • Experience teaching online education courses

  • Familiarity with Desire to Learn (D2L)/Brightspace

  • Previous experience/knowledge working with Banner, Grad Admit, and similar systems
