Job Description
Plans, coordinates program development projects; develops project goals, work plans, timelines. Implements strategies and plans.
Identifies stakeholders, other agencies and project partners. Identifies available resources ‐ provides consultation and assistance on program planning, development, and implementation. Train and advise staff.
Plans, facilitates, and conducts meetings. Consults with and provides problem solving assistance to staff on matters related to project activities. Provides training to other staff.
Ensure projects align with State of Idaho and ISU standards. Facilitates project closeout and move in activities. Assists in the coordination of construction-project development; Plans and develops project management software improvements; Manage smaller projects, as directed, for employee development; performs project management responsibilities. Reviews construction project plans and specifications for technical content and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates project activities to ensure projects are proposed via ISU established standards. Coordinates the workflow of projects as they are developed and assigned to projects managers.
Helps to ensure projects are closed out in a timely manner and all required documentation is stored in a consistent manner. Acts as the "Smartsheets Expert" and is tasked with assisting the Director and Project Managers in Smartsheets workflow, reports, and dashboards. Liaison between the State Division of Public Works project managers, Idaho State University personnel, outside architects/engineers and contractors to ensure our projects meet the needs of ISU faculty, staff, and students.
Minimum Qualifications
1.Bachelor's degree (In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum six years combined education, training, and experience may be considered).
2.Three years minimum progressively responsible experience in project coordination or equivalent education or training.
3.Capable of producing cost estimates, construction documents, and providing document review.
4.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
5.Ability to use MS Office, and Project Management software.
6.Ability to administer contracts through all phases of design and construction.
7.Ability to recommend action for resolving or reconciling multiple variables and constraints based on analysis of relevant facts.
Preferred Qualifications
1.Bachelor's degree in Project/Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, or related field.
2.Master's degree in Project/Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, or related field.
3.Related project management experience in a university setting.

Salary will be between $50,000 - $58,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
