Job Description

We are:

The largest of Memorial Sloan Kettering's clinical departments, our Department of Medicine encompasses experts in various specialties within the Hematologic Oncology, Solid Tumor and Subspecialty Divisions. We offer a range of services both in New York City and at our Regional Care Network outpatient locations. Department of Medicine Care Teams provide the complete spectrum of medical oncology treatments such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy, leading the development and testing of new drug therapies in all areas.

As a Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Under the guidance of the Vice Chair of Oncology Operations and Hematologic and Solid Tumor Associate Directors, work on projects and act as the point of contact to facilitate multiple departmental or divisional initiatives.

  • Coordinate project timelines and make necessary arrangements to ensure that subprojects are completed on time.

  • Manage the overall planning and operations of initiatives.

  • Coordinate initiatives to ensure that dates, times, rooms and equipment are arranged and details are communicated to participants.

  • Initiate analyses (operational and financial), gather and manipulate data.

  • Prepare data reports and analyze and assess the quantitative and qualitative impact of initiatives against goals on an ongoing basis.

  • Provide administrative support for project related meetings and departmental programs by managing and coordinating meetings among key stakeholders.

  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.

  • Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred in addition to experience

  • Experience in the healthcare industry and hospital operations.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time and project management skills.

  • Ability to solve problems by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to make appropriate decisions in ambiguous situations.

Basicprojects are typically small in scope affecting one or two departments withlittle or no budgetary oversight * Developsand maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks.Ensures adherence to deadlines * Coordinatesand leads assigned project activities ensuring that assignments are completed * Mayorganize, lead and facilitate project-related meetings, including the creationof agendas and preparation of materials. Prepares and/or edits meeting minutes,presentations and tables * Maintainsdetailed records and documentation of project activity and may be responsiblefor developing uniform procedures for storing and keeping appropriatedocumentation.
