Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Vergennes, VT
Type: Contract-to-hire (contract period through April 2019)

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and client-relations success of the projects to which he or she is assigned. Major objectives include processing administrative and documentation related requests throughout the project; and assisting with the completion of the project to the satisfaction of the client.

Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, resource bubbles. Makes changes to project plan as necessary.
Works directly with 3rd party vendors on implementation plan.
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
Ensuring project deadlines are met.
Determining project changes.
Undertaking project tasks as required.
Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Reviews all project field reporting promptly upon receipt; resolves any problems with inaccurate, late or absent reporting.
Ensures that change orders are submitted to and approved by the governance structure prior to the commencement of work.
Ensures that change orders are properly completed, approved and tracked.
Serves as liaison between functional leads, working groups, steering committee and program management office.
Proactively communicates project status, risks and issues. Logs and tracks risks and issues as appropriate.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project required. Knowledge of Jira preferred.

Must have 3+ years experience as a Project Coordinator (preferably 5+ years experience)
Experience working in a higher education environment in a the project management area
Experience as part of a project team implementing an ERP system from inception to Go Live

Role Overview This position is a senior Project Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Primary Responsibilities: * Develops project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid-size projects and suggests appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan, schedule, and budget. * Records and documents delay, changes in scope, and any other incidents that impact the scope of work or schedule to ensure smooth project operations. * Pursues all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability. * Performs critical path analysis and prepares and implements work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects. * Conducts meetings, consolidates, and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s). * Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions, such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications. * Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. * Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines. * Liaises between project management and planning, project teams, and line management. * Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. * Reviews project and budget status, manages schedules and prepares reports. * Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. * Represents UTC as the primary customer contact for projects. * Directs the work of employees assigned on projects in technical manufacturing and administrative areas. * Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. * Meets program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).
