Project Coordinator - Construction

Position Description

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• Work closely with construction managers to facilitate material procurement, track project progress, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align with project requirements and objectives.

• Organize and upkeep project records, which encompass construction drawings, permits, and insurance certificates.

• Oversee project budgets, including vendor contracts, expenses, and rental costs, ensuring meticulous financial oversight.

• Effectively manage subcontractor contracts, validate work completion, and guarantee timely disbursements.

• Receive, forward, and monitor the status of submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).

• Provide support in managing the project permit process.

• Contribute to the preparation of bid packages and assist in resource allocation for projects.

• Undertake any additional duties and tasks related to the position, as assigned.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• College degree or a minimum of two years of administrative support duties in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks for multiple projects at once.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Effective computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.

• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive-level internal and external customers.

• Attention to detail to ensure all specifications are met.

• Functions effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

• Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning ideas.

• Experience with Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and Procore, a facilities management system.

• Broad understanding of the Construction industry administrative processes.
