Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Local Project Coordinator will be responsible for taking the lead on a variety of projects for the Operations Division. They will be an integral member of the team and the primary point of contact for projects and will be responsible for the overall quality, tracking and accuracy of projects.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have skills in the following areas:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Be mechanically inclined

  • A mindset that will allow them visualize solutions and read customer orders and drawings

  • Quality orientation and customer service focus

  • Medium to expert computer skills

  • Strict adherence to policies and procedures

  • Develop and execute project plans

  • Willing/able to drive a forklift

Provides support to Administrative Manager and other senior department personnel. Responsibilities 1. Coordinates procedural matters regarding the day-to day operations of an academic, research or administrative project. 2. Plans and implements procedural changes/modifications for the project. 3. Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance within prescribed budget parameters. 4. May assist in the preparation of grant proposals, research materials, and outreach publications. 5. Maintains or oversees the maintenance of project records, lists or files. Prepares related reports and performs evaluation of project effectiveness. 6. Provides information to students, faculty, staff, and government and community agencies regarding the policies and procedures of the project or department. 7. May monitor the progress of project participants. 8. Maintains digital records for project and department. 9. Will coordinate travel, seminars, workshops, luncheons and other meetings on topics within the scope of the project and for the department. 10. Will be completing data input and management in REDCap and will advise other staff and faculty on REDCap and data management. 11. Assist the Administrative Manager in managing the department budget, purchases (UShop), financial tracking, department deposits, journal entries, etc. 12. Will monitor all department projects and grants and will liaison with the various grants and projects offices within the College of Health, Health Sciences, and the Main Campus. 13.
