Project Controls Senior Associate

IDS International is looking for a Project Controller to join our Arlington, Virginia office. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance and Accounting with dotted line reporting to the Controller and Cyber Department.
Run project status reports and job cost transaction reports to monitor costs and maintain project direct and indirect budgets.
Approve and properly classify costs charged to contracts.
Process timecards, payroll, & PTO accruals.
Approve department related spending requests, expense reports, Purchase Orders, and AP bills.
Setup and maintain contract work breakdown structure and employee time and expense entry in ERP system.
Prepare and enter monthly cost accruals.
Review direct costs regularly and identify potential issues, recommend corrective actions, and provide support to avoid errors and risk.
Prepare monthly financial statement package for meeting with executive leadership.
Prepare and maintain monthly spend plans to share with department management.
Complete monthly billing and revenue.
Complete other close related functions related to the department
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
Minimum seven (7) years of overall related professional experience.
A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with government contracting, financial reporting, and analysis.
Knowledge of full contract-life cycle support to ensure financial management of contracts, and GAAP and FAR principles.
Knowledge of policy, compliance, and risk requirements for government contracting. Experience using financial and accounting (ERP) systems.
Experience with financial management of complex contracts.
Employee must be flexible regarding work hours as they will vary based on work needs with foreign subsidiaries.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
MBA/CPA or related degree.
Experience with JAMIS Prime.
