Overview

KeyW Corporation is seeking a Project Control Analyst to join our team in Herndon, VA. The PCA will facilitate the division's interactions with Corporate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as provide multi-faceted financial and business operations support. Activities include but are not limited to EAC development, tracking and analysis of business costs, and business case inputs. The candidate will also provide procurement support, track invoices, and support to the monthly close and annual budget process. There will be daily interaction with the division's senior financial analyst and project managers, as well as frequent interaction with the Sector Business Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Works with various project managers to ensure proper cost allocation of procurements to the project cost objectives

  • Validation of Project setup to ensure proper revenue recognition and invoicing

  • Tracking project cost against project budgets to ensure proper cost allocation

  • Working with Project Managers to develop and validate EAC's on a monthly basis

  • Codes expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.

  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

  • Maintains historical records filing documents electronically and maintaining relevant databases.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in various financial control functions

  • Demonstrated experience with the use of Costpoint

  • Tracking Budget Expenses, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Analyzing Information, Accounting, Vendor Relationships, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or the Physical Sciences.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Key Role: Perform a wide variety of detailed financial and administrative activities for relatively large and complex programs, organizations, or proposals, provide analytical support in budget preparation, and support budget expenditures within OI LLC. Recommend procedures to be used to monitor programs, organizations, or proposals, interpret and implement cost proposal estimating, pricing, and documentation requirements, pricing, and define parameters for estimate preparation. Work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team of professionals, providing financial solutions to the client team within the defense market and act as the primary interface for routine and ad-hoc program financial risk management activities. Provide financial oversight to subcontractors and independent consultants, including invoice and funding requirement reviews and approvals. Provide financial information, and present materials to support internal and external PMRs and MSRs. Assist program and job managers with revenue forecasts and coordinate funding requirements with internal and external business partners. Provide support to contract and task order kickoff meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate set up of new tasks, and lead efforts associated with estimating and tracking financial information, and managing spend plans for multiple programs. Perform financial analysis to complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly close. Interface with the project manager and top client management. Basic Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience with cost accounting in a DoD environment, including Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements * 5+ years of experience with project or program management, including Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) requirements * Experience in monitoring compliance with general contract terms and conditions for government contracts, and supporting multiple clients in a fast-paced environment * Experience with subcontractor and vendor management, including reading and interpreting statements of work (SOWs), monitoring funding allocations, and reviewing and approving invoices * Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and use in financial tracking, analysis, and reporting environments * Ability to identify, research, discuss, and resolve administrative and financial issues independently and as part of a team, set priorities that balance service and control, and manage and track multiple initiatives * Ability to coordinate complex accounting or financial management tasks with other business units * Ability to work independently to complete complex accounting or financial management tasks * Ability to conduct research, evaluate facts, and exercise judgment * TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is desired, but not mandatory * BA or BS degree (if no degree, 4 additional years of experience will be required) Additional Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience with providing program control or financial management support in a government contracting environment * Experience with financial modeling, including waterfalls and revenue projections * Experience with proposal support, including responding to RFPs, and supporting cost volume development for competitive procurements * Experience with GAAP * Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications * Ability to learn and teach fundamentals related to the support of program management activities * Possession of excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is highly desired.
