Purpose of the Role: The Content Specialist is responsible for the delivery of tailored pre-sales presentations to customers in collaboration with sales and Getting Started training during the Back to School season. The Content Specialist also assists with the support of sales pilots. Content Specialists are responsible for learning 1) sales presentations, 2) Getting Started training presentations, and 3) subject matter expertise for a suite of HMH products and services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To deliver pre-sales webinars tailored to customer and sales needs.

  • To deliver pre-sales customer presentations tailored to customer and sales needs in medium and large revenue accounts.

  • To deliver Getting Started trainings tailored to customer and sales needs.

  • To partner with the Account Executive to explore solution opportunities with customers and to recommend both programs and services.

  • To learn two or more, subject area suites of programs plus services (i.e. math and science) as requested.

  • To learn Getting Started trainings as requested.

  • To complete SFDC forms, evaluations, and reports as required.

  • To demonstrate understanding of assigned disciplines including core and supplemental products as well as technology associated with such products.

  • To work with Account Executives, CSG managers, and Service managers to understand client needs and transfer this knowledge to pre-sales, sales, and post-sales presentations.

  • To customize the sales message with awareness of customer needs, campaign issues, and competitive knowledge.

  • To appropriately adjust presentations to the needs and responses of the audience.

  • To handle customer questions and overcomes objections.

  • To demonstrate product knowledge to position products in a way that reflects product strengths while aligning with market issues, curriculum trends, and customer needs.

  • To utilize knowledge of competitors products to enhance product positioning.

  • To communicate information regarding customer needs to the Account Executive and manager in order to capitalize on sales opportunities and position product effectively.

  • Bachelor's Degree is a minium with graduate degree preferred.

  • Five years of K-12 teaching experience in a subject area relevant to the position.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Digital literacy is a requirement.

  • Collaboration skills.

  • Highly organized and able to transfer strategies into actions that deliver results.

  • Able to use MS Office Suite and Go To Meeting tools.

  • Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, and travel 40-50%

  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • A valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Be part of our growth as a part-time Instructional Content Specialist! We are looking to bring on three new Instructional Content Specialists to our South Central team. The Specialist will conduct high-stakes presentations for district administrators and evaluation committees across the state of Texas. Partnering with other members of the Sales and Implementation teams, the Specialist will help in uncovering new business and accelerating sales by utilizing their experience in the K-12 space either as an educator or administrator. This is a part-time short-term position with estimated work of approximately 20 hours per week. Ideal candidates for this role will reside in one of the following areas: Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, Amarillo, Brownsville, El Paso, Tyler, Longview, and surrounding areas Essential Job Functions: * Develop an expertise in Lexia's portfolio of literacy programs and assessments * Be conversant in state educational trends including standards realignments * Deliver high-stakes, in-person pre-sales presentations to critical decision makers, statewide * Conduct pre-sales presentations via remote webinar * Facilitate small group and large group conversations with evaluation committees and decision makers * Present a curated experience of Lexia's solutions and state-specific materials * Speak expertly on Lexia's ability to exceed instructional expectations in a non-Common Core state * Keep detailed notes and organized next-steps to ensure all customer expectations are met * Other duties and responsibilities as identified Required Skills & Qualifications * Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred * 3 years minimum of elementary or secondary teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably with a background in literacy and language arts * Strong understanding of K-12 educational sales behavior, especially in an adoption state (non-open territory) * Experience with state instructional materials adoptions * Strong presentational presence and ability to speak publicly to large and small groups * Professional and proficient usage of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to use online presentation software (e.g., GoToMeeting, BlueJeans, etc.) to deliver webinar presentations * Ability to travel up to 60%, including overnight, while maintaining high productivity level At Rosetta Stone we speak, learn, and interact differently, we embrace and thrive on these differences!
