The Project Assistant reports to the Principal Investigator and performs complex administrative and secretarial duties for the Army Corps of Engineer's ERDC "Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) Asset Identification and Management" project in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and College of Engineering & Computer Science. This project is in collaboration with the Tandy School of Computer Science and the School of Cyber Studies in the College of Engineering & Computer Science and appointment may be in either of these programs in addition to Electrical & Computer Engineering based on mutual consent of all parties.
Job Duties Include:
Prepare and enter purchase requisitions and reconcile purchase orders utilizing Colleague and Excel
Purchase requested items with ProCard; maintain accurate records
Monitor expenses and assure correct accounts are charged by matching invoices or packing slips to posted charges
Maintain/order all office and printing supplies
Prepare routine correspondence
Assist in making travel arrangements and filing expense reports for staff and students using Concur system
Process payroll authorizations for student hourly workers as well as graduate students and maintain safety training records
Assist new students with obtaining keys, printing codes, etc.
Prepare and submit reimbursements for students and staff
Maintain filing system and migrate paper files to digital format
Perform other duties as needed/assigned
Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Specialized secretarial/clerical training; minimum three years secretarial and administrative experience; proficiency using a PC with a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint; excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work under limited supervision; the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadl
