The Alaska Pioneer Homes (APH) is recruiting for a long-term, non-permanent Project Assistant.

The mission of the Division of the Alaska Pioneer Homes is: "Providing elder Alaskans a home and community, celebrating life through its final breath."

This position is an integral part of a highly motivated and customer service-oriented agency in support of six Pioneer Homes and the Central Office.

What you will be doing:  This position is in support of the division that includes six Pioneer Homes, a Pharmacy, and the Central Office. This position is project specific and will be dedicated to coordinating and ensuring the successful transfer of all data into the new EHR (Electronic Health Record) system from the legacy system.

  • Reading Comprehension: Understands and interprets written material, including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs, or tables; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.

  • Database Experience:  Creating, editing, and maintaining database information.

  • Healthcare-Related Experience:  Working within administrative tasks and duties in support of healthcare related facilities; ideally in support of assisted living facilities, staff, and residents.

Other Job information:

  • This position is in support of six Pioneer Homes, which are 24-hour facilities.

  • Three (3) professional references (including work/supervisor-related) with current contact information.

  • Last two (2) performance evaluations, if available.

  • If using education to meet minimum qualifications, a copy of academic transcripts (unofficial are acceptable but must include the institution name/URL on documents provided).

EDUCATION

To verify education being used to meet the required minimum qualifications, you must fill in the Education section of the application. If you have not obtained a degree, please indicate the number of units completed. If utilizing this education you must show that the education credentials have been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and that such education has been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs; or an accredited U.S. state university reports the other institution as one whose transcript is given full value, or full value is given in subject areas applicable to the curricula at the state university.
