This Project Assistant role is based in Tacoma, Washington and is long term temporary opportunity. Major responsibilities

  • Analyzing information, preparing reports, proofreading and editing documents, and developing presentations

  • Help out project teams by providing administrative, technical and clerical support

  • Utilizing online research tools to find information

  • Distributing project information to key partners

  • Making travel arrangements and finding accommodations for training seminars, conferences and additional project-related events

  • Taking meeting minutes and keeping records of tasks and progress

  • Seeking further information to fill in gaps of incomplete documents

  • Providing support to Project Managers by organizing team meetings and communication per project specifications in order to maintain project deliverable schedules

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software

  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

  • 1 year of business/office experience is necessary for this position

  • Highly skilled at database and file management

  • Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments

  • Microsoft Project, JIRA, Mavenlink, and NetSuite is desired

  • BA/BS degree in business, communications, or related field preferred; high school diploma or its equivalent required

  • Oracle Reports experience

  • Knowledge of reporting

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced environment

Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience in large facility construction ? All projects are from the ground up ? Ability to read and interpret blueprints. ? Familiarity of building codes and their application. ? Knowledge of material handling equipment, industrial HVAC systems, and electrical systems. ? Ability to travel for extended periods of time ? usually 2-3 months on one project. Key Responsibilities: ? The Construction Project Manager is responsible for monitoring engineering and permitting process prior to start of construction. ? Oversee labor personnel on project, coordinating any activities with the Superintendent. ? Develop and manage project schedules at least 3 weeks out and continue to monitor and update the project schedule as needed. ? Maintain equipment log of construction rental equipment ?
