  • At one of the indicated projects, you will greet visitors and answer inquiries.

  • Assist visitors by providing general information about the project, explaining the basics of the operation of the dam, describing recreation facilities available, distributing maps or other informational literature.

  • Explain to visitors the basic rules and regulations that apply to various aspects of the project.

  • Prepare budget estimates and monitor expenditures against the approved allotments

  • Provide projections for such items as office supplies, cleaning materials, utilities, office automation needs, etc

  • Serve as a point of contact and source of information for all areas of personnel administration.

  • Keep track of employee training needs and schedules, initiate travel orders.

  • Insure that property records are maintained properly

  • Purchase supplies or services equal to or less than $2,500 per transaction (micro purchase threshold) using the Government Purchase Card (GPC), IAW the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Army Regulation.

  • Screen for mandatory sources; obtain all required pre-purchase approvals; verify receipt/acceptance of goods or services; maintain receipts and other supporting documentation; review and reconcile all transactions and statements.

  • Serve as the record management coordinator for the project office. Insure that all materials are assigned to appropriate filing category and insures that records are maintained in accordance with Army regulations.

  • As a timekeeper- maintain, prepare and submit time and attendance data and labor cost summaries for the staff.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to complete the required initial training to obtain and maintain a Government Purchase Card (GPC) within 12 months of being appointed.

In order to qualify, you must meet one of the education or specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using the Microsoft Office Suite to review and create documents and extract data to create reports; AND tracking budgetary obligations and expenditures; AND scheduling appointments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).


Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as public administration, business management, human resources, psychology, etc..


Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
