Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Leads production of schematic design, design development and construction documents.

  • Works directly with Project Manager to select and recommend procedures.

  • Develops preliminary designs.

  • Organize and direct the architectural and/or engineering team to execute the work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated.

  • May supervise Architectural Interns (Design Interns), Project Leaders (Job Captains) Designers, and be assisted by Marketing staff.

  • Serves as liaison with clients and consultants for projects.

  • Communicating with and coordinating the preparation of documents with consultants, contractors, team members.

  • Review and approve shop drawings, project submittals, etc. for document compliance.

  • Communicating and coordinating with management, clients, consultants and contractors related to daily business operations.

  • Occasional travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Regional/Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field.

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in a planning capacity.

  • Licensed Architect preferred - title will depend on Licensure

  • Well organized, detail oriented individual with strong leadership and relationship skills.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in using Revit Architecture.

  • Ability to use ACAD, Photoshop, SketchUp or other 3D Modeling, Animation, Rendering computer graphics programs a plus.

  • Experience with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors.

Current projects range from a 10M bank, 200M high school bond program, 20M multifamily, and a 100M manufacturing and distribution center. Looking for well-rounded and detail-oriented PMs who know all construction trades very well and have at least 5 years experience as a Lead PM on commercial type projects with a larger general contractor. These positions are full time traveling positions, meaning that PMs are expected to go from project to project as needed.
