An established architectural firm in Ottawa with many decades of experience focused on university, schools, offices & projects requiring federal clearance seek an experienced Project Architect with 3+ years experience leading teams through mid-sized projects; a technically minded Architect that enjoys working daily with colleagues in the office. The leadership team is committed to ongoing lunch and learns and bonuses that reward success. They will consider a one-time signing bonus for a good candidate from another province, provided they have a solid understanding of Canadian building codes and building science standards & are prepared to visit the Ottawa office for final hiring considerations. WHAT THEY NEED
Someone with a Master's or Bachelor's of Architecture; 5-10 years post-graduate experience; preference to a fully OAA, OAQ, AAA, MAA, or SAA licensed architect from another reputable firm; they will consider outstanding international trained architects with complex non-residential projects, coupled with experience leading teams in Canada
Candidate strong in both Revit & AutoCAD with a track record of leading a team of architects, interns & technologists across all stages of projects: programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents & contract administration Candidates with a portfolio of schools, corporate offices, dealerships, distribution centers, manufacturing plants; moderate size new build projects in the $5-$20 million dollar range; candidates with primarily residential project experience are not a fit Experienced juggling multiple projects; mentoring others, overseeing production drawings, being front facing with the client and focused on value-engineering
