RSP is looking for an experienced Project Architect to do that and deliver creative, innovative, and effective solutions for a wide range of clients on our corporate accounts.

We need someone with the ability to work well under pressure. Quality driven. With excellent ability to prioritize, adjust accordingly and meet deadlines. The Project Architect: leads the preparation of plans, drawings, details and specifications in accordance with client standards and specification; coordinate with client's vendors, consultants, permit expediters, general contractors, city officials and inspectors throughout the CD and CA phases of a project; and partners with interior designer to deliver flexible, thoughtful and innovative design.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the teams assigned hours for given tasks on project(s)

  • Understanding the contracts on assigned project(s) and how they impact project delivery

  • Aligning efforts with contract scope and deliverables

  • Developing and delivering technical design

  • Meeting deadlines on assigned project(s)

  • Supporting the design process in conjunction with delivering the construction documents

  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with clients, consultants and vendors through project work

  • Strengthening relationships with internal and external teams

  • Being a positive representative for the firm within our industry

What we are looking for:

  • Working knowledge of building codes

  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite


  • Professional degree in architecture required

  • Registered Architect required

  • 6-10 years professional experience in an architecture firm preferred

  • Experience working with large nationwide corporate clients preferred

VIEW JOBS 4/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-09T00:00 PROJECT ARCHITECT LOCATION Minneapolis, MN ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Develop, prepare, and review drawings utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural drafting tools. * Prepare code compliance evaluations. Participate in review with various governing agencies for code compliance in relation to zoning laws, fire regulations, building code, and other ordinances. * Participate in various pre-design services such as feasibility studies, site selection, and cost analysis. * Review and discuss project goals, objectives, design standards and procedures with project managers. * Assist in the development and preparation of plans and written presentation the design and production of projects and assist in the presentation and explanation of proposals, reports, and findings. * Ensure design specifications are coordinated with drawings. * Coordinate information and work on a multi-disciplined team. Interact with contractors and clients, throughout the development and contract document phases of a project. * Report status of the design process and cost analysis to appropriate individuals. * Participate in the design process to include: interior design, presentation drawings, reviews, etc. * Work directly with clients in all phases of the design process, to include but not limited to: master planning, programming, presentation, and cost estimation. * Provide strong technical detailing skills in a variety of construction materials and building types. * Serve as a mentor for less experienced architects. * Other duties as assigned or instructed. QUALIFICATIONS * Professional expertise demonstrated through 6-8 years of architectural experience is required. * Bachelors or Master's Degree from accredited college or university in Architecture. * Licensed to practice architecture. * Ability to persuasively and visually communicate ideas through both written and verbal communications. * Ability to publically represent ISG and clients in public forums. * Knowledge of building codes, such as ADA and IBC. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite and Sketchup computer software packages. * Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision. * Project management experience a plus. * Demonstrated track record of successful past employment. * Demonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members in different projects all at varying levels of completion.
