Project Architect, Mixed Use

DLR Group has an immediate opening for a passionate and experienced project architect. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Position Summary:

DLR Group's Mixed Use design studio is recognized for our integrated design approach from the inception of the project with master planning through design and construction with a focus on architectural work, and interior design of lifestyle mixed use developments. We believe that this collaboration and culture of creative storytelling is the key to our success as a design studio working in the midwest and across the globe.

As a Project Architects at DLR Group with the KC based Mixed-use Team you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project document development for Mixed-Use projects both large and small. You are also responsible for coordination with project team members to maintain the quality of project documents within the established project schedule. You will also have a part in helping the national team secure work through your interactions with clients. As part of our integrated design team, you will create unique lifestyle mixed use developments that fosters a sense of community and elevates the human experience through design.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to coordinate and lead, the design team in developing technical solutions.

• Have knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out.

• Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.

• Possess a high level of technical proficiency in the production of drawings.

• Produce graphic presentations, including 3D renderings, for client and internal design presentations.

• Work directly with Project Managers and Designers in the conceptual development of project documents.

• Grow as a leader of the design team, coordinating with engineers, interior designers, the PM, and consultants.

• Contribute to our office and firm culture, initiatives, mentorship, and talent development.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional Accredited Degree in Architecture.

• 8-12 years of experience as a Project Architect, preferably on Mixed-Use projects (including Multi-Family Housing, Retail or other private development projects).

• Professional License / Registered Architect.

• Proficient in the use of REVIT and

• The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.

• Have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work and present ideas in a team environment.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCAD and Skethup or other computer modeling software

• Demonstrated ability in the use of Lumion, Enscape, and other rendering software.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Suite. and rendering software.
