Project Analyst/Systems Analyst

Candidate will support the Critical Design Review for the Space Launch System Exploration Upper Stage. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following tasks.

  • Participate in the documentation of the Exploration Upper Stage CDR Execution Plan

  • Assist with facilitation of logistics to support execution of the Critical Design Review (to include agenda planning, break-out splinter planning, development of chart templates, scheduling and execution of leadership walk-thrus, meeting notice generation, and virtual review contingency planning)

  • Coordinate with the Prime Contractor's CM team to ensure artifact management within the NASA Windchill environment

  • Coordinate content for weekly System Engineering Program Management Reviews

  • Provide content for weekly EUS Program Management Reviews (PMR) and Monthly Management Reviews (MMR) to include metrics as leading indicators to support CDR success criteria

  • Coordinate within the SEIT IPT and across other EUS IPTs to ensure IDAS schedule commitments are achieved and re-negotiated as required

  • Coordinate new CDR metrics with the NASA customer

  • Maintain accounting of CDR artifacts and coordinate on-going review of artifacts with NASA Review Teams

  • Work with the NASA Action Item Coordinator and across IPTs to ensure resolution of CDR actions by the Action Item Closure Date.

  • Incorporate changes from NASA as required into CDR planning and execution

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years related experience

  • Experience working with the EUS Prime Contractor programs

  • Experience working with NASA, specifically interfacing with Marshall Space Flight Center programs

  • US Citizenship required

This position requires collaboration with personnel from two Torch-led organizations: Collaborative Test and Evaluation Center (CTEC) and Sensors Collaborative Test and Evaluation Center (SCTEC). The position consists of performing algorithm testing, modeling and simulation, data generation, and analysis in support of Missile Defense Agency initiatives. Support includes evaluation of active/passive sensor algorithm performance, discrimination, and tracking and sensor fusion performance. A BS., MS, and/or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science plus 5 years of related experience is required. Desired experience includes modeling and simulation of optical or RF sensors, analysis of optical or RF target signatures, image processing, tracking and target trajectory estimation. Position requires that candidate meets requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information.
