Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for the quality and efficiency of the scheduling department by tracking patient appointments and training staff as appropriate. Monitoring and managing scheduling data to provide information on physician changes, accuracy of appointments and physician patterns.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the scheduling department and hospital scheduling department.

  • Responsible for identifying productivity issues for the scheduling department.

  • Responsible for reviewing analysis scheduling data and workign with staff to implement process improvements, i.e. no show rates, reduce error rates through training staff, improve patient satisfaction and reduction of turnover through education within the department.

  • Assist in hiring department employees.

  • Oversee physician schedules to identify opportunities to improve productivity of clinics.

  • Weekly review and correction of physician weekly schedules to ensure that the physician schedules follow the guidelines and templates in the EHR.

  • Back up for building physician schedules and blocking templates when needed.

  • Responsible for recall reports, training staff, ensuring measures and productivity being met.

  • Responsible for processing reinstatements, terminations, and requests for appointments outside of normal guidelines.

  • Responsible for facilitating and tracking physician changes within the practice.

  • Responsible for tracking physician pattersn in relation to patient appointments and reporting findings to Administration.

  • Work as interim Scheduling Manager when Manager is out of the office.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 2 year's equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 2 or more years in a medical office environment.

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Environmental Services Operations Manager 1 for Erlanger Medical to cover their medical office and 18 off-site clinics. This role will support evening shift (4:00pm start time) and supervise a team of 30, including 1 supervisor. This role does require hands on cleaning to assist the team. Overall, this Operations Manager will be needed to manage POB office buildings in and around the Chattanooga, TN area. Experience with office and exam room cleaning is ideal. Preferred candidates will have experience in Environmental Services, Hotels housekeeping and/or Custodial Services, military service, and excellent customer service skills. Sodexo is seeking a true self-starter; very hands on manager who can lead a team under minimal supervision and troubleshoot issues to ensure a cohesive team. Some travel may be required between the off-site buildings to support the business.
