U.S. Bank is seeking a highly effective and dynamic Project Analyst to lead our pursuit of effectively delivering solutions to meet client needs in the fast-moving International Trade Finance space. This highly visible and strategic role will collaborate with internal partners to drive an enterprise approach to solve key customer challenges. Success will be measured through profitable growth of the product portfolio, effective and proactive risk mitigation efforts, and collaborative partnering to drive client satisfaction.


  • Responsible for providing high level skills and expertise to highly technical and complex projects of considerable difficulty and importance which typically cross business lines.

  • Compiles and analyzes information for an assigned project or area, and makes recommendations based on findings.

  • Perform system and business analysis to understand potential impacts & dependencies.

  • Acts as a project liaison with other departments.

  • Serve as the product owner on an agile sprint team focused on international trade finance.

  • Work with stakeholders and team members to define and understand the goals, objectives and success criteria of business line's initiatives.

  • Produce quality project artifacts including user stories and acceptance criteria for agile projects.

  • Ability to adapt to different project methodologies.

  • Participate in release activities and perform release validation.

  • Serve as test lead on waterfall projects focused on international trade finance.

  • Ensure solutions function as designed and meet the business' needs.


  • 8 years of related work experience.

  • Comprehensive to expert-level of knowledge of a specific business line or functional area.

  • Well-developed organizational and analytical skills.

  • Thorough level of knowledge in project management.

  • Well-developed ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data.

  • Well-developed knowledge of assigned business line or functional area.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.


  • Banking/Financial Industry knowledge or exposure, particularly international trade finance.

  • Experience supporting complex projects.

  • Thorough level of knowledge in software development lifecycle.

  • Ability to multi task in a continuously evolving and fast paced environment.

  • Ability to learn on-the-fly and make rapid, yet informed, decisions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across the organization.

  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex dependencies and solve complex problems with innovative solutions.

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and negotiate wins without damaging relationships.

  • Ability to cope with an ever-changing product and system landscape.

  • AS400,Client Server, and Global Trade application knowledge.

  • Business requirements elicitation and management skills.

  • Integration and user acceptance testing background.

  • Working Knowledge of Agile Methodology/Scrum and Version One Software.

  • CBAP Certification, PMI Certification; Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum.

  • Product Owner or other BA/Agile certification.
