VHBs Manhattan, NY team is looking for a Project Accountant to join our Finance group.

  • Responsible for monthly preparation and processing of client billings,

  • Assistance with project setup/budgeting; including review of contract compensation and billing methods,

  • Maintain project financial records and billing files.

  • Provide both internal and external support for tracking and collection of project accounts receivable.

  • Coordination with subconsultants and vendors for accounts payables.

  • Assistance with research & resolution of client questions pertaining to invoicing.

  • Strong organizational skills, with proven experience prioritizing work and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and customer service skills.

  • Self-starter who can identify and actively pursue solutions to diligently advance company or client objectives with minimal direction.

  • The innate desire to produce high-quality work with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to take on new tasks and adapt to different work assignments and personalities.

  • Ability to communicate openly and effectively both verbally and in writing.


  • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or Management. Bachelor degree preferred

  • 5+ years of Project Accountant experience (preferably within the Engineering, Architecture or Construction industries).

  • Intermediate to Advance working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision is preferred.
