THE RIGHT STAFF is partnering with a well-known construction group in their search for a Project Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity located in the east metro and offers an excellent salary, great benefits and a highly collaborative, positive and team-focused environment.

The Project Accountant will work collaboratively to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis and assistance to project teams. The salary range for this position is $25- $30 per hour.

Position Requirements

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
2+ years of Project Accounting experience in construction
Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially with Excel
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business
Construction Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Review the construction contract requirements for assigned projects
Prepare and reconcile project billings, ensuring all allowable costs are billed in a timely manner
Follow up on completed projects to ensure they are closed out
Code and process subcontractor and supplier invoices timely, verifying approval
Review equipment pre-bill reports and work with Project Manager to ensure accuracy
Make sure all project costs are processed timely
Review non-billable costs with Project Manager to see if any can be billed
Understand what is impacting the project costs and identify anything improperly charged to a project

VIEW JOBS 11/2/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-31T00:00 SPIRE Credit Union is seeking to continue its growth by adding a Facilities Manager to support our operations. This position will oversee and monitor vendors, projects and contracts pursuant to SPIREs overall facilities plans across all locations. In addition to regular communications across SPIRE departments, the Manager will provide back-up to the Facilities Director on-call. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide regular management of all planned facilities needs to assure ongoing smooth facilities operations. Set up and coordinate maintenance and repair services at assigned locations as provided by 3rd party vendor with a focus on project completion and status updates. Organize and prioritize projects and daily work requests obtained by the department via maintenance requests. Participate in vendor selection and oversight including site inspections. Be the main liaison for the administrative offices cleaning team. Ensure annual permits and certifications are kept up to date. Provide back up for badge issuance and other security related manners. Monitor and adjust the building automated HVAC system for all CU locations as a back-up as well as provide other perimeter observations for the administrative building. Monitor projects and act as a liaison between departments, facilities, vendors and subcontractors. Provide summaries of post-project analysis for best practice and vendor feedback. Organize office workstation change requests, review and coordination. Source local services and goods needed to perform day to day operations through 3rd party suppliers. Set-up, maintain and organize the departments central filing system. Update vendor data, call lists and other administrative policies and processes for the department. Review and approve bills pursuant to contract rules, escalating as needed. Participate with annual operating Budget preparation and variance analysis. REQUIREMENTS Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. An associates degree in a related field preferred. Some background training or experience with HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, security software, general building maintenance is preferred. Must have a valid drivers license with no restrictions. Ability to use Outlook, Excel and Word. Strong problem solving and project management skills. Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Attentive to details. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position requires frequent travel within a two hour radius of the Twin Cities (company car available for day use) as well as ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
