As we embark on this exciting growth phase, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Accountant to join our team.

Description : As a Project Accountant at SafeTouch Security, you will maintain the financial records of commercial security installation projects for multiple branches. Responsibility for this position is focused on financial project management (costs, revenue and cash flow) throughout the project execution phase (includes sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting and reporting) for core commercial security installation jobs. Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages and analyzes the collection, recording, and allocation of project costs and revenue. Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders. Review and code supplier invoices to the appropriate related projects.

Analyzes project budgets and actual costs and ensures accurate project profit and loss calculations. Process partial, final, and retention billings based on information from the Sales and Operations Departments. Provide customer and project team with additional information and supporting documentation for billings as requested.

Support the Sales and Operations Depts by preparing periodic cost reports. Assist A/R with proper application of payments on commercial projects.

Assist with collection of outstanding receivables on commercial projects.

Perform final project closeout duties including internal audit of project performance. Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities : Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects at one time. Collaborative team player who places a high priority on internal and external customer service.

Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience. Accounting major preferred. 2 years of experience in project accounting. Advanced proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Excel.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full Time, exempt Work Location : Remote or Hybrid. Must reside in FL within commuting distance to Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville.

Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. Must live within 1 hour of an airport.
