Position Purpose Incumbent is responsible for preparing the journal entries, reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts, financial statements, related schedules of his/her assigned entities and other complex accounting duties. In addition, will also be involved with and/or lead special projects for the Accounting department as needed. Nature and Scope The major challenges to this position are:
Develop productive working relationships with IT, Accounting teams and business partners to move initiatives forward to the best solution
Effectively working with external/internal auditors and regulatory agencies.
Working with leadership and employees in an efficient and courteous manner
Ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of journal entries, reconciliations and analyses
Implementing system changes arising from regulatory or process improvements
Learn and understand financial reporting structure of Renown Health
Must be detail-oriented but able to communicate with all levels of the organization
The Project Accountant position will be involved with and/or lead technical research projects, process improvements/initiatives and system implementations. This position will also be responsible for evaluation, reconciling and problem solving as it relates to accounting.
Will require the ability to compile financial information in order to prepare entries to general ledger accounts. Will also be responsible to implement and maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and actively participate in year-end close and audit process.
Must have excellent oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills. The individual should demonstrate excellent decision and problem solving skills and an ability to positively interact across all levels of the organization while providing input to develop the best solution for business challenges system-wide.
Achieve a big picture company perspective through the engagement of: new systems, new product/process, GAAP technical changes, process improvements and process integration. Technical accounting skills with the ability to see the full financial picture.
The incumbent also must be self-motivated and possess the ability to process and prioritize a high volume of work under tight deadlines.

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Name Description Education: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university.
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Experience: A minimum of six years of accounting or related experience. Must have a strong working knowledge multiple accounting disciplines including asset accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and consolidations.
License(s): CPA and/or MBA highly preferred Certification(s): None Computer / Typing: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word as well as highly advanced in Excel.
Must have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
